Sheriff’s deputies encountered the suspect’s vehicle near the Town Pump in Bonner, and the suspect led sheriff’s deputies, city police and the Highway Patrol on a high speed chase on Highway 10 East, when law enforcement finally disabled the suspect’s vehicle near the Turah Exit of I-90. The suspect was arrested and taken to the Missoula County Jail.

After the pursuit ended and the suspect was taken into custody, an unoccupied city police patrol vehicle that had been parked in the area was struck by an oncoming train. No one was injured in that incident.

The incident is still under investigation, and the suspect’s name has not been released.
