KYSSMAS for Kids 2013 Total Raised

Thank you, Thank you. KYSSMAS for Kids is always a lot of fun and you guys make it happen. Everyone that calls in with a bid or makes a donation is very special. We’d also like to acknowledge all the businesses that donated items for the auction.

Early estimates put our total at $26,421 with more funds expected to come in this week.

Don’t forget to stop by our offices at 3250 S. Reserve by Thursday of this week and pick upyour items. And once again a big Thank You!

The totals are still being added up but KYSSMAS for Kids was a great success again this year. Anytime you can raise money to send needy kids Christmas shopping it’s a success. We started at 6 a.m. Friday December 6^th and concluded the on air auction at 7p.m. that same day. There were a lot of special moments during the day; A young 12 year old came in and donated $50 she had earned helping her Mom at day care and doing chores around the house. This was her third year of donating.

A ranching family out by Drummond donated a ½ beef and a local butcher donated the cutting and wrapping. A hog raiser up the Blackfoot donated a whole pig along with the cutting and wrapping. People called in with levels of cash donations. One Mom said she was giving because in the past KYSSMAS had made sure her kids had Christmas when she was out of work. A fund was established to cajole Al into singing “Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer”, He hates the song. He “sang” it. The money went to the kids.

There were donations large and small from many area businesses and we encourage you to patronize them when you have the chance;
