According to Eater.com the food chain Joe's Crab Shack is eliminating tips in all of there restaurants. Instead of tips they are now offering all servers a starting wage of $14 per hour. As you could guess, those wage increases will be passed onto the customers with a menu price increase of 12-15% on different items.

Do you think this is something that you would like to see in Missoula restaurants?

Personally, I don't like this method. I like being having the ability to tip more to servers and other restaurant employees who go above and beyond just refilling my beverage. Although, I will be intrigued to see if this works. If it makes the employees happier, more power to them. Because I worked in the restaurant business for just a few months, and those hard workers deserve to be happy!
