The Ultimate Marathon Runner: 50 Races in 50 States, Including In Helena
A year ago, I completed my first half marathon at the Missoula Marathon event. My legs were dead, but it was one of the most rewarding accomplishments in my life.
Then I found out about the marathon runner who was about to complete his 50th marathon in his 50th state, and it made my accomplishment look like nothing.
The YMCA highlighted a member named Ranjeet Singh for his spectacular soon-to-be accomplishment.
Over the next two years, he is determined to conquer 50 marathons in all 50 states, embarking on a remarkable journey in an RV and making inspiring stops at YMCA locations throughout the country. - YMCA
Singh started his running journey on June 17, 2023 in Anchorage, Alaska and is just one race away from accomplishing his 50 in 50 goal.
All that's left his the Coastal Delaware Running Festival Marathon on Sunday, April 13. Singh has accomplished the feat in 49 states, including Montana.

Singh ran the Governor's Cup in Helena on June 8, 2024 finishing with a time of 3:33:26.
Helena ended up being one of his better finishes. His best finish came back in 2023 at the Chicago Marathon with a time of 3:23:25.
His worst finish, or rather DNF, came at the Outer Banks Marathon in North Carolina.
