As important as those big chair lift cables are, have you ever seen one being replaced? I certainly haven't. Until now.

We stumbled upon Max Stosich's Instagram which is packed with all sorts of cool Big Sky stuff, including his video "Replacing the Haul Rope on Six Shooter". (He's the head badass of lifts at Big Sky Resort, so he knows a thing or two. He also seems to be a badass photographer.)

The Six Shooter lift at Big Sky is no joke, and it's LONG at 8,457 ft with 1,828 ft in vertical. That's an 8.5 minute chair lift ride according to Big Sky Resort's website.

With so much terrain, the most vertical in America and so many nice lifts, Big Sky Resort's team has a lot to maintain. How many lifts are there? More than you think. (If you don't recognize a few of the following lifts, it's probably because they're specifically located for certain real estate access.)

Here is the list of Big Sky Resort lifts, with capacity, length of lift, vertical gained, and the lift ride time. (We did not list the additional 13 surface lifts.)
