Greetings from The MOOSE Morning Show! (It's hard to believe I've been around this joint for 26 years.) I'm always honored that you've spent part of your day with 94.7 The MOOSE. We try really hard every day to capture the best of the Gallatin Valley and for me, that means waking up at 4:30 am and heading downtown to our studios. After living in the Valley for 30 years, Bozeman never gets dull. Sure, it's a lot bigger than when I was in college at Montana State but it's never been 'dull'. If you ever come across something you think I should know about, don't hesitate to reach out. Could be a new band I need to hear or a new restaurant you think I should try. I'd love to hear about it. You can always call the studio at (406) 587-0951 during the MOOSE Morning Show from 6am to 10am. If you'd like to reach out via email, no problem. Just send an email HERE. I really do check my email and will address any issues you might have. Suggestions, questions and comments are always welcome. Really. -Michelle
My Million Dollar Montana Safe Driving Invention
How about a game to keep the kids entertained on a road trip AND to help out your fellow oblivious drivers? I'll consider this blog my poor-man's patent for this million dollar idea.
MAP: Montana Highway Patrol Busy With Accidents on Monday
By late Monday morning, there were at least 2 dozen incidents on Montana highways that required Highway Patrol to be dispatched. Snow covered roads and low visibility guarantees there will be at least more slide-offs before days end.
Montana Newbies Advised to “Change Your Plates ASAP”
The tidbits of advice for new Montana residents and those looking to move here range from the mundane to the laughably wrong. But the most common piece of wisdom you'll see in online forums is to "change your plates as soon as humanly possible".
MONTANA RECALL: 234,000 lbs. of Ham, Possible Listeria Contamination
Check your fridge for brands such as Open Nature, Food Club and others as there is a large recall of ham and pepperoni products. Listeria was detected in some sampling from the St. Clair Shores, Michigan plant.

Montana Finally Has a New Missing Persons Database
For too long, Montana has not had a quick and efficient database at the fingertips of the public to spread information about missing persons. Now we do and it's super easy to use.
MONDAY: Up to 6″ Snow for Yellowstone National Park Area
The weather is going to be pretty messy in and around Yellowstone National Park on Monday. Several inches of snow is expected to fall, with up to 6" in the highest elevations surrounding the Park. Driving conditions could deteriorate quickly if you're in the area.
Most Expensive Small Metros IN AMERICA: Bozeman, Montana is #6
We're in trouble. This isn't a "shake your head" broken record thing anymore. Montana towns are in deep, serious, fast-moving financial transformation. I've sugar-coated my personal concerns about Bozeman's change up until now. I can't do that anymore.
It’s Not All Insanity: Montana Has Lots of $50K Houses For Sale
Sure, you'll only find 'reasonably priced' homes in much smaller towns than Missoula, Bozeman or Billings but THEY DO EXIST in Montana. You just need to know where to look...and be a bit flexible with your home location. Joplin, anyone?
MT Travelers: Passport Renewal Wait Times Now 18 Weeks
August 2021: It now takes twice as long (door to door) as it did during the 'stay at home' period when a lot of us renewed our passports...dreaming of the day we could travel again. The State Department at least gets points for honesty.
Going-to-the-Sun Road Ticket Requirement = Slew of One Star Glacier Reviews
Necessary or not, you knew the newly required $2 Going-to-the-Sun Road reservation ticket in Glacier National Park wasn't going to fly well with park-goers.
No Joke. Montana Has Some of the Worst Air Quality on the PLANET This Week
Wildfire smoke has absolutely saturated the state of Montana. Missoula, Butte, Helena and Bozeman all have some of the worst air quality numbers in the entire United States, with some AQI numbers ranking worse than Jakarta, Indonesia or Delhi, India. That's really bad.
