Your go-to place for fried chicken and huckleberry pancakes is changing ownership.

The Shack, which is located on Main Street in Missoula, and before that first opened on Front Street way back in 1949, is officially up for sale. Bill Warden and Robin Hamilton, the owners for the last 43 years, have decided it's finally time to retire and hopefully pass The Shack down to another generation.

It's unknown what the future holds for The Shack - Warden and Hamilton hope that whoever ultimately buys it will continue running the restaurant rather than turn it into something else. In the meantime, it's still open for business, and it will likely take six months to a year before The Shack gets sold.

Are you a regular at The Shack? How do you feel about the upcoming change in ownership?
