Free Missoula City Band Concerts Resume Wednesday

It's a long-time Missoula tradition and a great way to spend a little time outdoors on a lovely summer evening.

The Missoula City Band resumes its free Wednesday concerts this coming Wednesday, June 19, in the band shell at Bonner Park.  Performances begin at 8:00 p.m.

There are 10 shows in all, including the additional performance at Southgate Mall ahead of the annual fireworks show on July 4. Here's a look at what is scheduled this year:

June 19: The Missoula Big Band Preseason Special

June 26: Special guests the UM Music Camp Faculty

July 3: A Patriotic Prelude

July 4: At Southgate Mall 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

July 10: Special guests the Sweet Adelines

July 17: Special guests the International Choral Festival Note earlier 7pm start

July 24: Blasts From the Past

July 31: Specials guests Cutest Couple Caitlin and Jesse

August 7: Gary Herbig, Missoula's Favorite Son

August 14: Special guest Maggie Schuberg Flutist Extraordinaire
