Got a short note from Traolach O’Riordain, who teaches Irish Studies at the University of Montana, letting us know about a concert coming up here in Missoula. A new Irish group called “Full Set” will be doing two shows in Montana, on the 7th of September in Butte and on the 9th here in Missoula. The show here will be in the University Theater.

The band, Fullset, is a very exciting new group of musicians and singers who fill the stage with passion and fire. The have been described as the most talented and inspiring group to emerge from Ireland in the recent past. This is a great opportunity to hear a new sound in Irish music, a sound that assures us that the Irish tradition is very much alive and as dynamic and as innovative as ever.

This is a fundraising event for the Irish Studies Program at UM and is family friendly.  The show starts at 7:30. Tickets are available at Griztix.com, all Griztix outlets, and Rockin’ Rudys. $20 in advance and $25 day of the show.
