The first boys game of the Western Divisional Class A basketball tournament February 24 went where not many games go - into 3 overtimes. And a last-second score kept it from going into a 4th overtime, as Frenchtown slipped by Browning 71 to 70.

For other scores in the boys tournament Thursday at Hamilton High School, host Hamilton Broncs lost to Polson 47 to 50, Dillon topped Libby 72 to 59 and Butte Central defeated Columbia Falls 64 to 34.

On the girls side of the the Class A tournament, host Hamilton Lady Broncs topped Polson 59 to 19, Dillon beat Ronan 60 to 19, Columbia Falls outscored Stevensville 46 to 36 and Browning defeated Butte Central 59 to 44.

  • Tickets are available at the entrance to Dale Berry Court at Hamilton High School (west entrance). Today's Hamilton Bronc and Lady Bronc games will be aired on KLYQ 1240 AM and klyq.com.

    The tournament continues Saturday, February 26, and two of the games will be played at the Hamilton Middle School gym, which is on the 200 block of South Fifth Street. Use the south foyer entrance to get to the games. The rest of the tournament will be at Hamilton High School at the corner of Kurtz Lane and Fairgrounds Road on the east edge of town.
