Who doesn’t love hot chocolate? Hot cocoa is one of those beverages that you can drink directly out of a packaged mix and it is still satisfying. However, after trying any of these hot chocolate combinations, I highly doubt you will ever drink it plain again.

Blackberry Hot Chocolate

Mix one to two teaspoons of blackberry syrup to your usual hot chocolate. This combo is especially unique when added to dark hot chocolate, and is sure to be a crowd pleaser. You can also use raspberry or cherry syrup if that is what your guests prefer.

Spicy Mexican Hot Cocoa

Make a normal mug of hot chocolate and add 1/4 teaspoon chili powder, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and milk to taste.

Andes Mint Hot Chocolate

Add a few fresh mint leaves to hot milk, and let them soak for 8 to 10 minutes. Then pour the hot milk over a mixture of crushedAndesmint chocolate bars and semi-sweet chocolate morsels. For the adults, this one is also delicious with Crown Royal or other whiskey.

Snow White Chocolate

For this recipe, you will need to find Callebaut, or another brand of white chocolate bars. Just crumble the chocolate, mix it with hot milk and top it off with fresh cream for an indulgent winter treat! I like to add peppermint sticks to this version for an extra special treat!

Tiramisu Hot Cocoa

Add one teaspoon of ground coffee granules to your usual hot chocolate recipe, and top with steamed milk that’s flavored with Torani’s tiramisu syrup. This is a rich, espresso-inspired treat that makes for a great dessert replacement.

So grab a good book, fill up a mug with one of these tasty treats and drink up!
