Congrats, DeSmet!

This was actually directed more toward Craig and Al than me, but with my hydro-cryptic-decipheranator-intercepting system I was able to beat them to the punch. We got a lovely press release today Shelley Andres, DeSmet School Principal. DeSmet 7-8 was selected to receive anacademic achievement award. It's a National Title One award for "closing the achievment gap."  DeSmet 7-8 qualifies for this award because it is a Title One school with a poverty rate of at least 35%, high academic achivement for tow or more consecutive years and for reducing the achievement gap between student groups. This is a very prestigious honor for students and teachers alike, awarded to only two Montana schools per year! DeSmet will receive $30,000 from the Office of Public Instruction and I'm sure that will be used to further the obvious motivation and drive prevalent in that school!
