It's not easy after you have been single for so long to be in a healthy relationship because for so long the only relationship you really needed was the one with yourself. So thinking about it, what did you have to change from when you were single to being married?

So the question is for the married folks out there. If you think about it, what are some of the things you had to change when married and being in a healthy relationship from how you were when single? I’m not married and have lived a very single life mostly so I’m of no help. I think many single people could benefit from sharing this info and to understand most healthy relationships require you to change but for the better.

Rob Griggs then replied: Julie Balch you nailed it! Communication is key. Plus it’s a hard thing to learn when you go from being single to married. You have to open to listening and staying how you feel in a loving way. Sometimes that is a hard thing to do.

I think it's important to know that we have to be able to adjust to having a life long partner. What do you remember yourself as before married, what had to change?
