Billy’s Weekend Home Improvement Projects

It was a very busy weekend at my house, including going to the home improvement store two times on Friday night alone. My wife (Savannah) and I have been working hard over the past few weeks in efforts to make our house into our home. We are first time home owners and we have had fun working on the house together, some projects are more fun than others.

On Saturday, I woke up at 6:30am, unfortunately that's just what happens when you're used to waking up at 4am during the weekday. So, I got up and started working on the baseboards. I sanded and painted what felt like a million baseboards, but finally they are all ready now to be installed after we re-due our flooring on Memorial Day weekend.

Then it was on to painting some interior doors. Currently we have 3 brown doors that don't look all that great, then one random white door. We just bought four matching white doors for the inside of our home, plus it will make our home so much brighter. Although I had no idea, how difficult doors can be to paint.

And finally on Sunday, as a change of pace, I wanted to get outside and work on the lawn. So I mowed the grass, and put down weed and feed, in hopes that I finally get a nice lawn all summer long. Fingers crossed.

It was a fun weekend, but I still have so much to do around the house!
