Billings’ Jeep’n for a Reason 2024 is August 25. Here’s What’s Up
Owning a Jeep is like being in a special club.
That's not an insult; Jeep owners will be the first to admit passion is strong for their beloved 4x4. I once owned an old CJ5 that was a beast. It was a soft top, which was awesome for about six months out of the year.
It was also frigidly cold in the winter, I couldn't effectively lock anything inside, and it handled poorly at highway speeds. All things that my father warned me about. The beloved Jeep was my only vehicle fresh out of high school and I needed something more practical. Of course, I regret selling it now.
Jeeps are pretty awesome, and Billings area Jeep owners are encouraged to join the fun at the Magic City's 2nd annual Jeep Parade. It's August 25 and the line-up begins at 10 am at the All American Pharmaceutical parking lot (2376 Main St in Billings).
It's a fundraiser for Pooch'z B & B.
Jeep owners will depart the Heights at 11 am (line up at 10) and work their way towards the West End, roughly following Main Street to Airport Road, and eventually wrap things up with a post-parade party at The Den Sports Bar and Ale House.
Older dogs need love too.
Founded in 2020, Pooch'z B & B is kind of like an awesome retirement home for dogs. We covered some of what they do for older dogs in this article last year. The Jeep'n for a Reason 2024 Parade will raise money for Pooch'z B & B.
The entry fee is just $25 per Jeep. Last year, around 60 jeeps participated in the Jeep'n for a Reason Parade. Prized will be awarded for Most Patriotic, Oldest Jeep, Most Jacked Up Jeep, and People's Choice. Purchase tickets online HERE or stop by The Den.
