3 Stunning Valleys Just a Day’s Drive From Montana
It's the Tuesday after a long Memorial Day weekend as I'm writing this article. I'm slogging through this workday. It ain't easy drinking outside for three days and then being asked to get back into the flow of work.
Life is so tough.

Kidding, of course.
3 "Unreal Valleys in America" Are a Day's Drive From Montana
An Instagram page with nearly one million followers called National Parks Guide put together a list of 10 of the most unreal valleys in America. There aren't any in Montana, but three of them are an easy drive from Montana.
1) Sawtooth Valley, Idaho - "A wide open mountain valley framed by the jagged Sawtooth Range, with meadows, the Salmon River, and some of Idaho’s most dramatic scenery right outside your window."
It's about a 5-hour drive from Missoula to the Sawtooth Valley. That's an easy weekend drive.

2) Lamar Valley, Wyoming - "One of the best places in Yellowstone to just pull over and watch - bison herds, wolves, rivers, and rolling meadows in every direction."
I drove through Lamar Valley last year, and it's as spectacular as advertised. You can reach the valley in just over 5 hours from Missoula.
3) Jackson Hole, Wyoming - "A massive valley sitting right beneath the Teton Range, with open sagebrush flats, wildlife, ranchland, and mountain views that stop you mid-sentence."
