Bellamy Brothers Feel “Ripped Off”
The Bellamy Brothers aren't concerned with the leak of Britney Spears' new song on the Internet a day earlier but more with what her song says.
Apparently the Bellamy Brothers and Britney Spears think alike. But the brothers aren't too happy about it. They say Spears has ripped off the lyrics from their 1979 mega-hit, "If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me." Spears' new single is called "Hold It Against Me." It has this line: "So if said I said I want your body now, would you hold it against me." The Bellamy Brothers didn't know about the Spears song until YouTube viewings of their tune shot up this week. David Bellamy says he and his brother "have no personal beef with Britney." But, he says "in all honesty, we feel completely ripped off." And, he asks "where's the originality?"

You can listen to her new song on iTunes and decide for yourself if she violated copyright laws. The one line in question, "So if said I said I want your body now, would you hold it against me." is the only one similar to the Bellamy Brothers hit. All of the other lyrics are her own and don't resemble any of the other writing from the Bellamy Brothers.
