A Grateful Nation, A Grateful Dad

It was my pleasure to meet David Bell this morning. David is the gentleman who has been so very instrumental in coordinating the new memorial that will be unveiled Friday on the UM Campus oval.

The Grateful Nation Montana Fallen Soldier Memorial will serve as a source of pride to our state, pay tribute to Montana soliders who have given their lives for our country in Iraq and Afghanistan and give the children of those soldiers the academic tools necessary to succeed. David, on behalf of fallen  Marine LCpl Andrew Bedard, Ramadi, Iraq, October 4, 2005, thank you! Words just never seem to be enough when something like this takes place.

My son will be one of those honored within the memorial and I can't wait to attend the unveiling Friday at 5. It's been hard not to go over and get a sneak peak, but I wanted to wait for the full effect.  :-)  Everyone is invited. DB
