6 Events To Attend In Missoula This Weekend

Friday Night Lights Skate

Winter is coming so it's time to pull the ice skates out of storage. Glacier Ice Rink hosts its Friday Night Lights Skate tonight (November 15) at 9:45 pm after Grizzly Hockey plays Eastern Washington. The skate lasts one hour, costs $12 and is limited to 100 skaters. More details here.

Montana Grizzlies Sports

There are three events happening on the University of Montana campus. It starts with football's senior day showdown against the Portland State Vikings at 1 pm. on Saturday. The Griz will honor the 26 seniors on the roster and welcome back former Head Coach Bobby Hauck's son, Robby Hauck. Next, is Grizzlies - Vikings on the volleyball court at 7 pm. Finally, on Sunday, the Montana Lady Griz square off against the Big 10's Washington Huskies on Robin Selvig Court at 2 pm.

String Orchestra of the Rockies

University of Montana's Music Recital Hall hosts two performances from the String Orchestra of the Rockies - "Montana's premier conductorless string orchestra." Night one will feature The String Orchestra of the Rockies will be joined by Dolce Canto beginning at 7 pm on Saturday. Day two will run it back on Sunday at 4 pm.

Montana Winter Snowman Painting Class

Painting with a twist presents a couple of events this weekend. Snowflakes falling on Friday, November 15 at 7 pm for those 18+ and Montana Winter Snowman painting Saturday, November 16 at 10 am for the kiddos. Full schedule here. 

Cranky Sam's Chili Cook-off

We love chili on a chilly November afternoon. Cranky Sam's hosts their Chili Cook-Off this Sunday, November 17 from 3-7 pm. Tickets run you $30 but you get a beer and samples of all the chili available. Good deal.

Draught Works Speed Puzzling Competition

This one's for the nerds, and I mean nerds in the nicest way possible. I myself am a nerd. Assemble your team to compete with the fastest puzzle solvers in the county. Tickets cost $25 per team, you can have up to 5 puzzlers on your squad. Sunday, November 17th at noon. Be there!
