2013 Texaco Country Showdown in Deer Lodge
The Texaco Country Showdown may have been cancelled in Missoula, but that doesn’t mean your chance to enter is gone! The showcase will also be holding auditions in Deer Lodge to find the most auspicious country music talent in America!
The Texaco Country Showdown is the largest country music talent showcase in the world! It gives performers a chance to start their careers as the newest up-and-coming talent in country music. Over 4,000 radio stations nationwide are holding settings to display all of the never-before-seen emerging artists and there is no time to waste! Your last chance to see if you are the next big thing is Saturday, June 15, at 1 p.m. as part of the Territorial Days Celebration in Deer Lodge.
Anyone interested in competing in this year's showdown needs to send in his or her audition materials to Bob Toole at River Radio Ranch, 302 Missouri Ave, Deer Lodge, MT, 59722, or call the local radio station at (406) 846-1100.
The Deer Lodge winner will not only receive cash and prizes, but he or she will also have the chance to represent Deer Lodge in the state contest, which will be held August 3 at the Montana State Fair in Great Falls. The winner of the state contest will receive $1,000 and the opportunity to head for the regional competition in the fall.
The winner of the regional contest will be awarded a grand prize of $100,000 and a national title!
If Martina McBride, Tim McGraw, Miley Cyrus, Brad Paisley, and Miranda Lambert can do it, so can you. So tune up your guitar, polish those boots, and come down to the Territorial Days Celebration in Deer Lodge to see if you've got what it takes to represent Deer Lodge — and Montana — at the 2013 Texaco Country Showdown!
