Find Out Who Won the 31st Annual Texaco Country Showdown in Missoula

And the winner of the 31st Annual Texaco Country Showdown in Missoula is....

Our winner receives $500 and will represent Missoula at the state contest, which will be held July 28 at the Montana State Fair in Great Falls. The state title includes $1,000 in prize money, and the opportunity to advance to the regional competition this fall.

Regional winners will receive an all-expense paid trip to compete in the nationally televised finals. At stake is a grand prize of $100,000 and the coveted national title.

The entire contest – local, state, regional and national – uses a uniform judging system with five categories and a 10-point scoring system. The showdown also encourages the use of original music.  Contestants may earn bonus points for performing their own musical compositions. One of the keys to the success of the showdown is the careful selection of judges.

Past individuals that the Country Showdown has helpled open the door for include Martina McBride, Tim McGraw, Miley Cyrus, Brad Paisley and Miranda Lambert.
