Mustang Fire Causes Closures in Bitterroot Forest [AUDIO]

The Bitterroot National Forest is implementing an “emergency area closure” on the West Fork Ranger District due to expected future fire behavior from the Mustang Fire burning on the Salmon-Challis National Forest in Idaho. The lightning caused fire has grown to more than 196,000 acres, some of which (approx. 3,000 acres) has burned on the Montana side of the divide on the Bitterroot NF.

Cops and Crosswalks Starting Wednesday [AUDIO]

Starting Wednesday and continuing through the fall, Missoula Police will place a greater emphasis on safety while pedestrians are using city crosswalks.

A cash bag in the Baskin-Robbins booth at the Western Montana Fair was stolen late Wednesday night. Missoula Police Detective Sergeant Travis Welsh says the attendant had left the bag inside the booth for a short time, and when he returned it was gone.
