Beau Donaldson to Plead Guilty to Charge of Rape

Deputy Missoula County Attorney Shaun Donovan says former Grizzly football player Beau Donaldson will accept a plea agreement with the Missoula County Prosecutor’s office of guilty to sexual intercourse without consent.
In a hearing Tuesday morning, Donovan said Donaldson’s attorney, Milt Datsopoulos confirmed the plea agreement. Donovan said his office is seeking a lengthy prison term, but that the defense may petition the court for a more lenient sentence.
Donaldson was charged in January of this year for the crime that was committed in 2010.
The sentence for sexual intercourse without consent carries a minimum 2 year, and a maximum life sentence, along with a $50,000 fine.
Donovan said the original trial date of September 26th remains, but there will be a change of plea hearing on September 11th before Judge Douglas Harkin, who will be sitting in for Judge Karen Townsend.
