Is anyone else excited about Garth Brooks going back on tour? He announced his intention to return to touring after a 14 year hiatus earlier this week. Brook’s world tour will begin sometime in 2014, the dates and places have yet to be released.

I don’t know about you, but I missed seeing a Garth Brooks show the first time around and I don’t intend on making that mistake again. I just hope he can come someplace close enough to Missoula that it doesn’t cost me an arm and a leg to get to it, because I’m sure the tickets themselves will probably cost an arm and a leg. I only have two of each, and I’d hate to lose them all just trying to see Garth Brooks.

Brooks also said he’d be bringing his wife Trisha Yearwood on tour with him. If that isn’t just the icing on the cake, then I don’t know what is. Some of my favorite songs are sung by this dynamic duo. My all-time favorite Garth Brooks song is “The River” and my favorite Trisha Yearwood song is “How do I Live.”

I have a very short list of people I would spend the time and money on to see in concert. One is Neil Diamond, another is George Strait and the last is Garth Brooks. What can I say? I have a thing for older men.

I suppose I should start saving now, and maybe I will be able to afford to keep all my limbs and see Garth Brooks in concert.
