It's almost Halloween, and that can only mean one thing: candy! You know, you'd expect candy sales to be down this year, as less people are likely to be trick-or-treating amid the pandemic, but it turns out, the opposite is true: candy sales are actually way higher than they would normally be around this time of year. Why is that? Maybe with everybody stuck at home, people need to stuff their faces with Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. It's just science.

Although if you're in Montana, Reese's might not be the way you go (even though it's obviously the best candy and anyone who disagrees is simply just wrong). A new survey from Zippia figured out every state's favorite candy in the US... so what did we go with? Apparently, Montanans can't get enough of Airheads.

And look, far be it from me to begrudge anyone their love of Airheads. But I don't know, I guess I just don't see it. For me, Halloween is about Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (minis are good, but full-size is better, as with all candy), or Hershey Bars, or Crunch Bars, or Kit Kats, or M&Ms. I've probably got about 20 candies I can think of before I'd place Airheads on a list of favorites.

But hey, if Montanans love Airheads, I'm not gonna stop 'em. That just means more of the best candy for myself, so go nuts, Airheads-lovers! Go raid the stores for some candy and then settle it into a big bowl at home that you have no intention of giving to trick-or-treaters. It's 2020, so believe me, you've earned it.
