We feel bad for Capone for being dogged for resembling a wolf. But at least there was a happy ending.

Capone is a large German Shepherd/Labrador mix. AP tells us that Animal Control in Aurora, Colorado, picked him up after he apparently escaped from his yard. But here was the problem: authorities were not going to release Capone, since they classified him as part wolf.

They actually did some DNA testing and once they determined Capone was all dog, he was released back to his owners, who unfortunately don't sound like the most responsible folks. They were cited for no rabies inoculation, outdated city registration tags and allowing a dog to run at-large. All of that will make you want to howl at the moon, huh? Sounds like they take their dog business very seriously in Aurora.
