Western Montana Fair 2025: Event Highlights

The 2025 Western Montana Fair is here!

Tuesday, August 5 through Sunday, August 10, the Missoula County Fairgrounds transforms into the Western Montana Fair.

Here is the schedule of events for this year's Fair.

Reminder: the Western Montana Fair is FREE "All Day, Every Day." Tickets to the Rodeo, Xtreme Bulls, and Lords of Dirt are sold separately. 

Second reminder: The Fair opens at 11 am, the carnival opens at 12 pm, and closes at 10 pm.

Tuesday, August 5

• Goat & Poultry judging (8 am at Large Show Ring)
• Missoula Robotics Demonstration (12 pm at Historic Plaza)
• Carnival Opens (12 pm)
• Missoula Highland Dancers (1 pm at Community Showcase Stage)
• Insect Predator Feeding (1:30 pm at  Insectarium)
• Community Showcase opens (Several events at multiple locations starting at 2 pm)
• Championship Taekwondo Demonstration (5 pm at Historic Plaza)
• Missoula Stampede: Xtreme Bulls (5:30 pm gates, 7 pm show at Clouse Bauer Arena)
• Free Live Music by the River City Rhythm Band (9 pm at Fairway Plaza)

Wednesday, August 6

• Dairy Cattle Judging (10 am at Livestock Pavilion)
• Horse Connection Zone (Several horse riding "how-to sessions" starting at 11 am)
• Irish Dance Performance (12 pm at Historic Plaza)
• 4-H Fashion Show (2 pm at Community Showcase Stage)
• Karaoke (3 pm at Community Showcase Stage)
• Missoula Symphony String Trio Performance (4 pm at Community Showcase Stage)
• UM Circus Club Performance (5 pm at Community Showcase Stage)
• Olympic Fencing Demonstration (6 pm at Historic Plaza)
