Oh my goodness! Is it already time for my annual shameless self-promotion?

It is, indeed. And, as usual, I am stoked for a great time and to help out an awesome organization.

Once again this year, yours truly, Dennis J. Bedard, has been invited by my good friends at Soroptimist International of Missoula to call a night of BINGO at the Western Montana Fair. It's fantastic fun and a huge honor, and even if they didn't ask, I'd probably show up anyway and beg.

I will take a turn calling the numbers opening night of the fair, this Tuesday, August 5, from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. We have really big crowds and hopefully you'll be taking home a few bucks.

WHO THEY ARE

For those not familiar with Soroptimist International of Missoula, they are a network of volunteer professional women around the world, including a chapter here in Missoula. Their mission is to "improve the lives of women and girls. The name, Soroptimist, means "best for women."  Soroptimists are women at their best, working to help other women to be their best."

Awards and scholarships. Fundraisers and events. These are cornerstones of how the women of Soroptimist strive to improve the lives of others. Soroptimist International of Missoula would love to visit with you sometime about membership and rewarding opportunities. But now, it's fair time and all about the BINGO!

LOCATION AT THE FAIRGROUNDS

The Soroptimist BINGO booth is basically centered between the carnival and the main entrance to the grandstands, in the west-central area of the Missoula Fairgrounds. If you can find the commercial building and public restrooms, you can probably find us. And trust me, you'll find us! The venue allows for lots of people to find a seat and play, both under the canopies and out near the walkway.

Each game's winner takes half of the pot, so the more players we have at each game, the more there is to win. Especially the BLACKOUT game to wrap up the night.

They'll be playing every day of the fair, but I'm hoping your first choice is Tuesday evening. Remember, there is no admission charge to enter the fairgrounds.

Thanks in advance for coming. We would sure love to see you there.
