As of 3:00 Wednesday afternoon, the Montana Department of Transportation notified us that chains were being required on towing units on both Lost Trail Pass and Chief Joseph Pass. It's funny. I recorded a commercial for Lost Trail Powder Mountain today, and the ad copy read that Lost Trail is expecting one of their best ski seasons in years. :-) Maybe they nailed that one, we'll see.

Anyway, rain and snow are likely to continue at least through the weekend. Not too much accumulation in the Missoula and Bitterroot Valleys, but if you're traveling a bit higher, you're probably going to encounter some tricky road conditions.
