WATCH Hamilton Man Has Low Budget Winter Hack for Plowing Snow
Winter has finally arrived. Remember just a few weeks ago when you were complaining that the weather was too warm and we hadn't seen any snow? Well, be careful what you wish for because the snow has arrived.
With snow accumulating and more snow in the forecast, it is hard to stay on top of the duty of clearing the snow. For some, it can seem like a neverending battle with mother nature. Since the snow has started to fly, the plows have been busy. You'll see everything from the MDT plows maintaining our roads, to plows mounted on pickups, ATVs, and UTVs, clearing out parking lots, sidewalks, and driveways. But, with the high cost of owning your own snowplow or hiring a snowplow service to clear snow, you may find yourself in a losing battle with the snow.
As they say "necessity is the mother of invention." Lots of hacks tend to come out when the snow starts to fly, like ways to clean your windshield from ice and snow to ways to clear your driveway without breaking your back.
It appears a Hamilton, MT man has come up with a genius way to clear a business's parking lot, without breaking the bank. No need to buy an expensive snowplow. All you need is a couple of ratchet straps and a big sheet of OSB board. Simple. Secure the sheet of wood to the front of a 4WD vehicle, and BOOM, you'll be clearing snow in no time.
