The Missoula County Sheriff's Office released the following statement:

The Sheriff and Coroner, TJ McDermott, is releasing the name of the man who died in a crash yesterday at the intersection of Orange and South Third street. The deceased male has been identified as Vincent Burrafato, 77, of Missoula.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends during this very difficult time.

According to Police Public Information Officer Lydia Arnold, officers are pulling roadblocks now and all traffic should be back to normal in 10 minutes.

Missoula Police Department Officers are on the scene of a fatal crash between a vehicle and a bicyclist at the intersection of Orange and Third Street in Missoula. Police Public Information Officer Lydia Arnold provided the following statement.

“The Missoula Police Department is still on scene in the area of South Third and Orange Street,” Arnold said. “They are investigating a vehicle versus bike accident. It is a fatal accident. Police are on scene continuing the investigation. Southbound lanes of Orange Street are still closed. Parties involved are cooperating with the investigation. When we have more details, they will be provided.”

The crash occurred just before 2:00 p.m. on Monday. KGVO will provide more information when it becomes available.
