Valentine’s Day Excuses
No matter what a woman tells you, there are certain things she expects to do or get on Valentine’s Day. Men may think that Valentine’s Day is just a made up holiday, an excuse for greeting card companies and retailers to get you to buy more stuff from them.
I will admit that Valentine’s Day is a holiday full of excuses. To women, the excuses that this holiday brings are good ones, ones that call for a change from the ordinary and mundane and ones that allow their significant others to show them a little extra affection. These are the kind of excuses we women like.
It’s an excuse to spend some much needed time alone with my hubby. Being the parents of four boys, it’s not always easy to find time just for each other.
It’s an excuse to eat chocolate. We women love any excuse we can find to eat chocolate and Valentine’s Day is one of the best.
It’s an excuse to put on something a little sexy and go to bed a little early.
It’s an excuse to dress up. If you’re a mom like me, you don’t get a chance to dress up very often so getting all dolled up to go to out with your spouse is a nice change.
It’s an excuse to eat out at a real restaurant. We don’t have to eat French fries and fast food. We can enjoy a nice bottle of wine over a dinner with no screaming or crying kids.
It’s an excuse to slow dance in your living room. It sounds sappy because it is, but a woman loves for her man to put on a slow song, hold her tight and slow dance with her. So romantic.
