After weeks of rainy weather, there’s a slight change in the forecast… snow! National Weather Service Meteorologist Genki Kino says the snow should start falling tonight.

"We have an unusually strong winter storm moving in tonight. We have some rain ahead of it and it will transition into snow after midnight tonight, and it is going to continue through tomorrow morning and we're looking at up to three inches of wet, heavy snow."

The winter weather is driven by cold winds from up north.

"We have some really cold air coming down from Canada. It usually happens once every year, it seems like, so that's not that unusual, but this is a very strong storm, so we are looking at some spring snow."

The snow isn’t expected to last very long, Kino says spring weather will return by later today.
