The last Friday and Saturday in April are when Fort Missoula comes alive with a timber sports event you won't want to miss.

Greeted by wonderful weather, the University of Montana Forestry Days and Pro Am Logging Show is April 27 and 28. Friday features the college competitors and Saturday is the pro day. There are vendors, a beer garden, lots of historical Montana logging displays, horse-drawn logging demos and lots more.  AND FREE ADMISSION!

Of course the main reason for this annual event is to celebrate the skill and bravery of those who work in the logging industry and for those who aspire to do so. The only pro-am logging show in the country, you can watch the pro competitors go after prize money, but what truly makes this event unique is that the professionals compete side by side with college-level and amateur athletes. Terrific competition and a fun family atmosphere.

We salute the logging and forestry industries and wish them a successful weekend of competition and fun. More details can be found here.
