One impressed the crowd over the course of the entire game. The other whipped fans into a frenzy in about a 12-second span.

On Monday, Montana Grizzly quarterback Dalton Sneed and kick return specialist Malik Flowers were named ROOT Sports Big Sky Conference Offensive and Special Teams Players of the week, respectively for their efforts in Montana's 47-27 win over Monmouth on Saturday afternoon at Washington-Grizzly Stadium.

Dalton completed 75 percent of his passes, going 30-40 for 334 yards and threw four touchdown passes. He now has the best completion percentage in the Big Sky Conference at 69.4, and 10th best FCS percentage in the nation.

And then of course there was Malik Flowers, who took a Monmouth kickoff at the goal line, made a couple quick moves, then turned on the jets to go 100 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter of the game, to boost a Grizzly lead they would never give up in the game.

Great job, guys. Thanks for the thrills and good luck in your huge conference opener at UC Davis this Saturday. Scott Gurnsey and I are on the air at noon with the pregame show, kickoff at 2;00 p.m. on KGVO, FM 98.3 and AM 1290 and Hamilton on 1240 KLYQ.
