Time to Take Action Against Pine Bark Beetles

It’s the time of year you should take steps to protect your pine trees. I spent yesterday tacking up pheromone packets to the trees in our yard. They’re to combat the pine bark beetle which should be emerging soon. The DNRC and County Extension Office can help you with more info. But consider doing it, we lost 40 pine trees to beetle kill about five years ago. One day they weren’t there and less than a month later they had ruined our trees.
