Hear the Property Brothers’ First Country Single, ‘Hold On’
Drew and Jonathan Scott of HGTV's Property Brothers have released their first single to the country market.
"Hold On" shows off the brothers' softer sides. The lyrics of the country ballad convey the perspective of anyone who is homesick, be it for family, for a lover or simply for the feeling of being in a familiar place. Press play below to hear the tune.
The brothers announced their entry into county music with the release of "Hold On" and “Let the Night Shine In” in late 2015. Singing as the Scott Brothers, the duo headed to Nashville last year to work with Victoria Shaw and Chad Carlson on the tracks. The TV stars grew up singing and playing guitar on their family ranch and spent time in church choir and voice lessons; they even started a band as teenagers with their brother JD, called Western Union.
“Music has just always been part of our lives, something we’re passionate about. We grew up on a ranch where most weekend nights ended in us all around the campfire, with our dad, playing guitar,” the Scotts say. “There have been times in our lives where people have told us something just can’t be done, and we’ve become addicted to proving these naysayers wrong.”
