When it comes to crime, steer clear of Wolf Point, Montana. And yet, if you want to take your chances with your safety and well being, well, go ahead and test your luck in the two biggest Montana towns (Billings and Missoula) where there might be a little less risk involved.
Lock your doors! Road Snacks just published a list of the most dangerous cities in Montana after investigating FBI crime reports over the past three years, and Wolf Point, a town with a population of less than 2,300 earned the top spot.
Wolf Point residents (have) 1 in 173 chance of being the victim of a violent crime in 2013, making the city the second most violent place in Montana.
Another surprise on this list was Polson, the small, quaint tourist lake town destination took second place.
Billings landed the number six spot where the article claims that you have 1 in 19 odds of falling victim to theft or arson.
Missoula came in ninth on the list citing a 14 percent rise in crime and 20 percent increase in property crime.
