The Moon Dominates the Night Sky
The moon was the "star" of the evening Wednesday night, March 20, the first day of Spring. The landscape was visible by the moonlight, as seen in this photo from Mike Daniels.
A warning, though, for nighttime drivers - deer and other road-crossing animals are active during these moonglow nights. So, be extra careful on your routes and keep looking for those eyes on the side of the road that usually mean a deer is about ready to jump out. (see photo below)
Of course, the moon set in the early morning Thursday, dropping below the spectacular Bitterroot Mountains west of Hamilton. (see photo below)
