A Favorite Missoula Bakery Opened Its New Location This Week
A longtime staple of the Clark Fork Farmer's Market just took a big step in furthering their business this week.
If you happened to be walking around the University District this past weekend, you may have noticed some grand opening celebrations going on at a building on Helen Ave. On Sunday, Tandem Bakery and Cafe officially opened its first brick-and-mortar location in Missoula.
Tandem Bakery Has A Long History in Missoula
Tandem Bakery has been going strong for ten years now, ever since partners Beth Gherlein and David Tyson first started selling donuts at the Clark Fork River Market back in 2012. They've grown steadily in popularity over the years, and have become known for their vegan and gluten-free baked goods.
When Nonna's Neighborhood Eatery moved out of their spot on Helen, Tandem Bakery decided the time was right for them to get a physical retail space. They took the spot, and have been spending the last few months getting everything ready.
The Missoulian has the full backstory of how Tandem came to be, but if you want to see them for yourself, the building is now open for business. Tandem held a grand opening on Sunday featuring live music from a couple of local artists to kick things off right.
You can check out Tandem's website for more information, or follow them on their Facebook page to keep up-to-date on any other events or menu items that will be coming up in the future. Will you be heading to their new spot when you get the chance?
