Montana, often called "Big Sky Country," is renowned for its vast landscapes, rugged wilderness, and breathtaking natural beauty. While it might not be the most densely populated state in the United States, it has a unique charm and allure that captivates those seeking solitude and connection with nature.
Sure, I'm stretching the definition of 'town' a bit but 'census designated place' doesn't have much personality. Montana is the perfect state to search for super small towns that have real charm and/or something pretty cool in their backyard.
It's easy to assume Wyoming doesn't have a lot going on simply because it's the least populated state in the country. You'd be wrong, of course, but the people that live there seem to be just fine with that misconception.
Sometime in early January, our beloved home state finally surpassed the 1 million mark in the population category, leaving behind the lowly ranks of six-figure states such as Alaska, Wyoming and the Dakotas. But not everyone is happy about it.
