Stevensville Scarecrow Fest Moves Forward With COVID Precautions

The Stevensville Scarecrow Festival is celebrating its 15th year - and normally, they'd be going all out to make sure this is the biggest and best year ever. But, 2020 is anything but normal, so the festival is still moving forward... with safety precautions in place to protect from COVID-19, of course.

So the Scarecrow Festival - which last year brought in about eight thousand people - may be a little smaller and a little different this year. But that say that, at its core, the event will pretty much be mostly unchanged, and it will look like your usual Scarecrow Festival.

There's no voting or judging of the scarecrows this year, but people will be be able to participate and put their own scarecrows on display on Stevensville Cutoff Road. They'll be illuminated at night too, for a special viewing experience.

It is crazy how different things have to be in the time of COVID, but it's good that they're able to go ahead with this event instead of just cancelling it and waiting for 2021 like so many others have done. Hopefully, people will still find just as much enjoyment this year as they have in years past.

Have you ever been to the Stevensville Scarecrow Festival? If you've gone, how hard was it to not sing "If I Only Had A Brain" from The Wizard of Oz the entire time you were looking at scarecrows?
