Roxy Theater’s Special January Showings Features Classics

The new year is on the horizon. We can say so long to 2024 and welcome in 2025 with open arms. It's going to be your best year yet with fun adventures, excitingly new life events and something else that makes us believe 2025 is going to be better.

2025 also means there are new film releases to watch. I'm a huge fan of unwinding with movies either at home or at the theater. In 2024, I watched 67 films I hadn't seen before. The movies range from old classics to new releases. Some of my favorite films I saw in the last year included Dune: Part Two (2024), Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), The Royal Tenenbaums (2001), Sicario (2015) and Whiplash (2014).

This year features some big-time releases such as James Gunn's Superman, the Russo Brothers' The Electric State, Captain America: Brave New World, Wicked: For Good, a live-action Lilo & Stich, Mission Impossible - The Final Reckoning and many more.

But as you can see from my 2024 top movies list, I'm a fan of going back in time to watch classics that I've missed or revisiting my favorite movies. That's why I love the Roxy Theater. The Rox revisits the classics every month with a theme tying all the films together. Last month, the Rox hosted their Christmas/Holiday theme movies because, duh, it was December.
