If not for the kindness of a stranger, this little sweetheart might not be here to tell her story.

MEET ROSE AND HER THREE SIBLINGS

It was another Take Me Home Tuesday at the radio station with the Humane Society of Western Montana. Katie introduced us to Rose, an irresistible 8-week old charmer. Shortly after her and her three siblings' births, they were found without their mom.

Yes, brand new puppies with no home or mama to take care of them. The odds of surviving in that situation are mighty slim.

Fortunately, a Good Samaritan brought them to the Humane Society. They have been living with one of the shelter's amazing foster care volunteers. They were bottle-fed and just brought to the shelter this week, getting readied for adoption.

It's almost always a guessing game as to the mixture of breeds in situations like these. But whatever she is, she sure wears it well!

ANOTHER FREE VACCINATION CLINIC COMING SOON

It's been awhile since the Humane Society of Western Montana has been able to hold one of their free vaccine/free microchip clinics. But the next one could not come at a better time.

It will be held on Thursday, July 2, starting at 10:00 am, in Silver Park, just west of Ogren Park/Allegiance Field, where our Missoula Paddleheads professional baseball team plays.

And the timely thing? The shelter takes in the most strays every year on the 4th of July. What better time to get those free vaccines and microchips.

The Humane Society of Western Montana is open Wednesdays-Sundays, located at 5930 Highway 93 South, Missoula.
