Thanks to a group of volunteers, Pineview Park has a natural ice rink again as they have since 1975!  The rink is open now through mid-February, weather permitting.

And one volunteer says it's the best ice they've seen in 40 years at the rink.

It started with a decent snow that was then compacted with a tractor.  Followed by the weather getting cold at just the right time.  Then, volunteers would work morning and night shifts to spray layers of water on top, let it freeze, and do it again.  It's estimated the pond has about 100 layers on it as they opened for the winter on Sunday.

Public skate is from 9am to 10pm, unless closed for maintenance.
The rink reserved for volunteers; weekdays, 4pm to 6 pm and weekends, 9am to 11am. The Children's Corner is always open.
