You can't even sing "Supercalifragisticexpialidocious" by substituting this word! It's just too danged long.

Austria has put the American Word of the Year to shame. How can "post-truth" possibly compete with "Bundespraesidentenstichwahlwiederholungsverschiebung"?  Even if your German is excellent, you would have to struggle with that baby! And the meaning is almost as dizzying. It means postponement of the repeat of the runoff of the presidential election. The word of the year came to be thanks to the record time it took to elect Austria's president. A first round in April was followed by a May runoff between the two most popular candidates. But they had to disqualify the results. So a new date was set for October but that was rescheduled to December 4 due to some absentee ballot issues.

Well, now I understand, because that is a heck of a lot of Bundebungin'!   DB
