No Running of the Bulls

Like me, you've no doubt seen footage of the annual Running of the Bulls in Pamplona, Spain. That's about as close as I want to get to that event. Insane! Well, a California version of the running will not go on as originally planned. Associated Press tells us that Lake Elsinore is nixing the Great Bull Run. The city manager has denied a permit for it. The city got hundreds of emails from people with....wait for it....safety concerns. Uhhhhh, ya think? However, organizers say they have a backup plan. They have a "toned down" version that includes escape routes for runners and blunting the bulls' horns. Sure, then absolutely nothing could go wrong. I'm laughing my butt off right now. They have five days to appeal the ruling. Good luck you moooooooovers and shakers. DB
