Need a Feel Good? Man Comes Out of Coma to See Son’s Birth
A story that could have had a tragic ending became a warm, touching moment between father and son.
AP tells us that in Minnesota, Andrew Goette's pregnant wife called 911 when her husband started gasping for air. The dispatcher gave her CPR instructions over the phone until the ambulance arrived, but things did not look good. At the hospital, Andrew was placed in a coma to minimize the chance of brain damage, but doctors told his wife they didn't know if he would pull through. And that little baby was getting anxious to come out into the world. What to do?
Miraculously, Andrew came out of the coma a few days later, brain function intact! He couldn't be in the operating room for his wife's C-section, but he was able to watch the birth on a phone.
Such a blessing. We hope mom, dad and the little guy are all doing great.
