National Banana Split Day

When I go to my favorite Dairy Queen Treat Store, I'm usually all about Blizzards and Peanut Buster Parfaits. But I might have to make an exception Sunday. August 25th is National Banana Split Day. They're making a big deal out of this in Latrobe PA, as they claim to be its birthplace. A couple other cities are saying the same, but Latrobe says it has better evidence to back the claim up. Hey, there's a Dairy Queen in Lolo! If each of us bought one banana split, I bet we could give one to every fire fighter as a way of saying thanks! DB
