MPD Arrest Man for Theft, Possessing Meth and Violating Probation
At around 9:30 a.m. on Monday, a Missoula Police Department officer was out on patrol and recognized a man that was driving a vehicle in the 300 block of West Alder street. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.
“He also had prior knowledge that this particular individual had an outstanding warrant for his arrest,” Welsh said. “He initiated a traffic stop and confirmed the identity of 36-year-old Jacob Jellison. Mr. Jellison was arrested for his outstanding warrant. During the course of the stop, it was also discovered that Jellison was in possession of methamphetamine, a bicycle that had been previously reported stolen, and a bicycle frame that had been previously reported stolen in a different case.”
According to Welsh, Jellison was transported to the Missoula County Detention Center. Jellison is currently being held for felony probation violation, felony theft, and felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs.
